What is alkaline food? Alkaline food is food like vegetables, fruits, legumes and beans. The reason they are called alkaline is because they are turned into alkaline on digestion. They effect the body is in a gentle way and the more alkaline in the diet the better.
I recently had a discussion with a nutritionist and they were saying that for a perfect healthy diet we should be eating 20% Acid food to 80% Alkaline.
“Wow sounds like hard work to me but i will try….”
Even though i haven’t been too strict i have noticed in the 2 weeks of doing the diet i feel really good. The most noticeable aspect is i feel i have a lot more energy. That’s always a bonus. Some examples of alkaline and acid foods are below.
- Apples
- Oranges
- Lettuce
- Tomatoe
- Broccoli
- Spinach
- Beans
- Lentils
- Legumes
- Potato
- Meat
- Pasta
- Rice (mild acid)
- Cheese
- Milk products
- Rye
- Wheat
The above ones are examples of some of the food in each category. I didn’t mention all the acids and alkaline, ( i would be writing for weeks otherwise) only some common foods to give you a general idea.
Well i think i had a bit too many glasses of wine last night…Then falling asleep without drinking water…Ahhh…We all know the feeling when we get a hangover, the dry throat, the walking in the desert feeling. Personally i have always found the best hangover cure is plenty of Water…But everyone has there own opinion so i thought i would ask?
- Plenty of Water
- Hair of the dog…Another drink in the morning it means…
- A meal before bed
- A painkiller like Panadol
- A hot bath
I have also noticed that working online with a hangover is not a good combo…So working online i wouldn’t recommend as a hangover cure…

There are many diets out there that help to reduce weight loss, but now research is finding by positive thinking we can attain weight-loss as well…Let’s look at an example of this…Say every morning you woke up and said to yours self when you looked in the mirror…
“I’m so fat, I’m not losing any weight”
or
“wow I’m looking good, is starting to lose weight”
Both phrases are opposite but the first one would tell the body its still fat and also instruct the body as well that the diets not working therefore slowing down the weight-loss…The second one however the positive thought is telling the body it is losing weight slowly and I’m starting to look good, so the body responds in a positive way, excepting this and will lose more weight…
It truly is a powerful concept that the thoughts we create control our body as well but through many studies the studies are showing these results…Be careful how you think about yourself is the key and always be positive…
Just letting people know I’m not saying to skip the weight loss diet, and just think positive, I’m saying to use positive thought in conjunction with the diet…
What is living in the moment? Living in the moment is when we stop to reflect on what is around us, the awareness of now…A lot of people experience this feeling while on holiday or like how a surfer feels in the waves…
With a lot of modern stresses in this modern world sometimes it’s hard to just stop and think let alone take the time to think about the moment we are in…A good habit to get in just at least once a day stop to reflect on what’s happening now…This way the mind can get into habit of just living in the moment…
The mind is like a baby, you need to constantly remind it of how to see the world around us…I mean in the end what do we want to remember…The moments we mainly remember are the ones where we are in the moment…Try not to let past experiences govern your life…
Living in the moment creates a lot of happiness too…Not being weighed down by the thoughts or pressures of the past… Just remember it’s good to take time out to see what’s happening now, it can change your life…

How ever you get yourself to experience the now more is not important, the important thing is experiencing it through life however you get there…Live in the moment and be more happy…
