As like setting up multiple streams of Internet income the same goes with traffic. Too quickly do many of us fall into a pattern of creating great traffic with little web visitor response and I will tell you why?

A GREAT CONTENT PAGE DOES NOT SELL ANYTHING WITHOUT TRAFFIC TO IT!

I know many webmasters claim -  “ just create good content and your blog will be successful..” Unfortunately unless you have a well established site this does not work alone by itself. It does not work because many of us create great content online. Then you browse around another site with similar niche content to yours and wonder why they are going so well, why do they have massive streams of visitors everyday? How come they are making money so well, yet even 10 to 15 visitors to a single page daily would be a dance for joy.. Am i right?

Imagine 100′s of Web Visitors per day Per Post or Page..

Imagine this, there are plenty of sites out there getting hundreds of visitors daily to one page on there blog or website. You just have to look at the Internet a bit differently.. Imagine having 20 to 30 posts on your blog receiving this sort of traffic, 100 plus each.. Well it is possible.. That’s where multiple streams of Internet traffic comes in..

First of all, stop thinking like a blogger or SEO marketer..! Stop focusing on getting traffic from these sources alone or just because now they are the main traffic source. Instead focus on where you can get traffic from if the search engines or blog pinging services did not exist.

Websites, blogs, back links, etc, etc..

In the end try to look at it this way, try to make traffic streams for each post you create, other than from the search engines. I know this takes time, but keep this in mind, only a little extra bit of effort sets you a part from other blogger’s or website owners.

Think about it this way.. What is an online business without a list? It simply is a website that gets traffic from the search engines and a few return visits from really interested readers.. Without a good list a website is just like everyone elses.

Here is some examples of Successful Lists you want to Build (in Particular if it is a Blog)

1. Feedburner - This is a must for any blogger.. To subscribe to my feed click here.
2. Emailing List – Such as doing e courses or training emails.. These can include affiliate links so can earn massive dollars as well.. Also it helps capture your audience.
3. Twitter Followers
4. Other Social Networks

Overall the list is where the money is and so this really is a great focus. I know it is easier said than done, however by knowing where to focus it will help you be focused.

Here is some examples of a good list results –

• 1000 feedburner email subscribers can mean an extra 100 visitors a day..
• 5000 Twitter Followers can mean an extra 20 to 30 visits per tweeted post
• A good targetted mailing list of say 1000 email subscribers via  a e course etc can mean more trust and a 25% rise in traffic. Eg 1000 targeted email subscribers can mean an extra 250 loyal visitors to your site regularally after each mailing.. That’s a quarter.

“Lists build traffic, make money online and also create a brand name for your blog.. They are a must and the bigger the list is the more money you will make online..“

Added up all together they have the potential to drive massive levels of traffic without having to spend a dime, in fact you will make more money from your lists, recommending necessary online tools than anywhere else..

(If you are unsure of what a Retweet is, it is a Digg type similar function that instead Tweets (submits) an update on your Twitter account. This allows people to share great posts on Twitter and hence generates web traffic to good posts or pages. If you look at the top right of this post you will see the Retweet button as an example..)

This Is the Results

The general results are like this, for each Retweet on general I seem to be able to get another 3 to 10 website visitors. This means is that a Retweet post that gets 10 Retweets can potentially be another 30 to 100 visitors to my site on one post..

While each time it can be different, the results so far are great and I am positive the results are only going to get better. What I expect is that as my Twitter follower count grows so too will my Retweeting aspect. As I said above some of the Retweets are not from the retweeting function so I have to take into account that some people Tweet without the button.. About half looking at my results.

Why does Retweet work so well? My Theory..

Okay so here is another point on the button that I believe creates its successful aspect.. One word comes to mind, it is easy to Retweet.. All I do is click the retweet button on a post i like and then boom it opens in new window and redirects to my twitter update page with the title and link in the summary.. I then click submit, overall it takes like 5 seconds..

I believe that is what sets it apart from other networks such as Digg or other similar similar point system networks.. Most of them take too much time to submit a  resource to..

In a way it is like saying 5 seconds of your time (Retweet to Twitter) or two minutes of your time (Digg as an example)…

Retweet Stuffs Up Sometimes..

One last point I wanted to say was that Retweet is not perfect, occasionally the Retweet on a post will not show on a post when you know it has been Retweeted. Hopefully in the future this issue gets fixed. Either way it still gets traffic, even if Retweet does not show..

What I have found by being active regularly in related forums (that allow signatures) you can attract more of a targeted audience for your own website or blog. As a tip, the forums to go for are the ones that allow link signatures, so basically during your conversations on forums if someone is following the comment and they like your say, they may follow through and check out your sites in the signature.

If you are unsure of what a signiture is, it is a common aspect in the forum world where below your posts you can add a few links to your favourite websites. A bonus form of website advertising in a way..

Overall forums are another good extra avenue of traffic for any blogger..

Below is a list of what to do.. Each of which has it’s own web post so you can focus on each area specifically.

1 ) Join Mybloglog – Mybloglog is a great online tool for getting your blogs latest posts seen by members part of  your community.

2 ) Join Blogcatalog – Online bloggers forum where you can add your blog and chat with other bloggers in your niche, create partnerships or even get advice on your blog.

3 ) Submit to many Web Directories – Directories are always a great extra source of traffic and back links. Try to submit to at least 50 directories in your first submission process. It takes time but is well worth it.

4 ) Use Article Directories and Distribution – Articles are a great source of writing about a related subject and being able to include a link. To begin with try to do ten articles. And then later do more.

5 ) Do the Web Commenting Strategy – Important avenue of traffic, branding and many other benefits.

6 ) Consider Link Reference Swaps – This is basically about making and establishing quality partnerships with other related bloggers.

7 ) Be active in Related Forums – I do not have a post on this subject just yet, but will soon. This is another important element for building quality related links, traffic and branding.

After doing the above steps, your website should well and truly be on the right path to getting over a 100 good visitors a day. To increase that number simply start again from the beginning.  It is all about repetition of these steps, quality of posts and lastly dedication.

Go back to step one and then back to step two.

What is Traffic Swarm? -

“First of all if you have not heard of Traffic Swarm before, basically it is a search engine type service that swaps traffic based on the sites you visit. If you visit one site in the program you get a couple of credits and so on.. The credits are then used when someone in the program visits your sites in the program. In a summary way the credit gives you exposure in the network and how you get more credits is by visiting other sites in the search engine. Your Probably Thinking Traffic Heaven… Hmm.. But Wait.. There is a Catch..

After hearing the explanation above of Traffic Swarm your probably thinking wow that is awesome as it brings more traffic, however there is a downfall with any traffic exchange. The traffic visiting your site generally only wants one thing, more traffic for there own site.. So does that mean it is worth it? It does not mean it is not worth it, who knows it could luckily get you some more orders or it may get you some return visits, however overall unless related to your audience it has not much weight.

What Converts on Traffic Exchanges?

So what is the solution you may ask? What are my results.. Okay so here is where it gets interesting I have found a conversion of sorts that may interest you. What I did was promote a traffic tips page from this blog in this network. That page is – 10 ways to get deep links to your website . This is a page that does not get much visits from elsewhere, so knowing most visits in my stats were from Traffic Swarm helped me work out my conversion..

At first it looked like the test failed totally, however as time went on I found that my post links off this post started getting more visits from these visitors.. Success in a way.. That meant that people continued further on my blog away from Traffic Swarm. It was not many hits through, per hundred visitors from traffic swarm, yet it still was around at least around %5 went further on following the links on that page.. And the answer was obvious in a way, the post focuses on getting more traffic through deep links and traffic is what that visitor wanted from Traffic Swarm, am I right..?

Give the Traffic Exchange Visitors What They Want.. Traffic for there SITE..

Okay so do not run to the bank on this one just yet, even though it is great news.. It still has to be played around with to see if I can work out how to convert further to orders or to email subscriptions. I am sure after this initial test though there is a way.. In summary, its giving the audience what they want is the key.. If you write about traffic tips or blogging tips or marketing tips you may get the same results.

My History of Traffic Exchanges

You know what is interesting about all this, I have not touched these services since I started working online in the beginning days way back, about 5 years ago. I assumed they did not convert at all and I was right at the time as It appears it was what I was promoting that was the issue.. Why 100 is a common question you may ask? This question is common mainly because it is the first step of any blog journey. It has to start somewhere so this is the beginning goal. This is what I work on with any new blog I make or help make. It helps keep one on a realistic goal path that once achieved, goal setting after that is a lot easier to improve. Baby blog steps in a way.

Okay, so first things first when running a new blog niche, your wondering what is the first objective..?  First of all let’s focus on my golden rule, The hundred by hundred Blog rule..

Hundred Good Blog Posts Related to your Niche Minimum.

Okay so here is where you get down all those creative juices and basically get that blog to 100 posts. Try not to worry about other areas yet, this is a great focus and if do it right you should be able to get down at least 5 posts a day. This should take about 3 to 4 weeks maximum and allow the search engines to start picking up your regular posts well. Before the hundred is fully finished you should be seeing some small amount of natural search engine traffic coming in.

With the posts, try to keep them as specific to your niche as possible and commonly make your titles like common questions people may ask about in that niche. The reason being for this is that generally when people search online they generally search in the form of a question.

Eg. Like this Post title – How to get your Blog to 100 Visitors a Day?

A good tip here is to jot down as many key words in your niche, keyword questions in your niche to get the creativeness going.
