Not All Affiliate Programs are Fair..!

affiliate programsWhile there are a lot of good potential Affiliate Programs out there, there are also a lot of dodgy ones out there. This is one unfortunate aspect of searching for the right Affiliate Programs or Networks for your website. It is always best to do your research and check other peoples experience on the program online. Sometimes however when a program is new there is no payment reports yet or there is no testimonies so it is a bit like walking the plank…

“A good search tip is “affiliate name” payment proof… And look at all the responses from reputable blogs…”

Unfortunately… Not All Affiliate Programs are Fair..!

Like i have said in previous posts, do not focus on the one affiliate program, it leaves you open to being burnt if for some reason the program is unreasonable with there commissions. It has happened to me a couple of times where you spend time promoting and then the program has some excuse not to pay… Even if you have spent a bit of money on it yourself… They may even cancel some of your earnings after making many commissions and then you almost feel almost like giving up…

Do not give up though, just refocus and try again and remember to research what you can in future…

I was once asked if this happens heaps with the little Affiliate Programs?

Well it can, but in my experience the bigger the Affiliate Program the more you need to to tread caution. You see what i think happens is when it gets so big sometimes they spend less on affiliate support and more on gathering sign ups… Let’s not mention names but you may guess some big names that are used commonly on websites that are some of the biggest culprits of being unfair to Affiliate Members…

Testing The Affiliate Program..

My first test with any program is getting the first commission, if it is not at least one in 100 clicks to one commission i would be ware and tread caution… Secondly when i get a commission i access it and make sure it is held by the program and then wait for payout. Then when paid i am happy to keep promoting…

Basically it is a Trial for the affiliate program as well, but i like to research payment proofs for most programs before I start onlineĀ  promoting and I also like to check for good earnings as well as ROI… Bloggers really are the speaking voice online, if an affiliate program appears dodgy to you for whatever reason, email them first to ask about it, then if not resolved write a post about your experience….This way it helps more people make a better choice…
